Hello, I'm Justin Kaeser

I work on developer tooling at JetBrains. I am leading the development for Bazel support in IntelliJ IDEA, and I was a member of the Scala plugin for IntelliJ IDEA team 2016-2022, focusing on build tool integration, specifically sbt and developing and evangelizing the Build Server Protocol.

Projects I'm currently involved in

  • JetBrains Bazel Plugin for IntelliJ IDEA, GoLand, and PyCharm. I'm responsible for the product and business in the Bazel ecosystem at JetBrains, working closely with some of our largest customers.
  • rules_agents - configure and run agents, discover and manage agent skill profiles from Bazel
  • Insola - Android UV and sunlight exposure tracking app. Perhaps the only one with proper prediction of UV exposure and burn risk integrated over the day.
