I have not done a review of this PR but was asked by @rmaddikery to leave a comment on the question:
"How many components do we have in our architecture"
In my Opinion we have two: The logging daemon ("datarouter") and the logging library ("mw/log").
While I see that more fine granular splits (e.g. on per-recorder basis) can be thought of, I do not see a benefit.
My proposal splits it along the lines of safety. The Library needs to be ASIL/FFI, while the daemon may be QM
