First off — thank you for this project. The approach is refreshingly simple and clever, and it's rare to find an open depth-based skeleton tracker that isn't just a wrapper around a closed SDK.
I reimplemented your upper-body method from scratch in Rust (head, shoulders, elbows, hands), with no OpenCV and no OpenNI — it just takes a raw depth buffer — for a head-tracking project on a virtual pinball cabinet (Kinect v1/v2). Reading
SampleViewer's call order was what made the pipeline click, and I kept the behaviour faithful (including leavinggetElbowHardout, since the earlyreturnmakes it dead code).This PR just adds a short "Ports" line to the README pointing to it, in case it helps anyone landing here who'd like a pure-Rust / cross-platform option. The crate credits your original program and the method throughout (LICENSE + README), and it's MIT like yours.
