tile57_compose_surface/tile57_chart_surface grew rotation_rad (passed 0: the Go Surface stays north-up; a rotating host applies rotation itself) and draw_symbol/draw_text grew tile57_rot_align, now surfaced as RotAlign on DrawSymbol/DrawText. SurfaceFeature carries DispCat, and Mariner binds the appended text_size_scale / sounding_size_scale / soundings fields (SoundingsMode: follow/show/hide).
