Project Rosé is a Nintendo revival service that aims to recreate Japanese Nintendo TVii and Miiverse!
What was Nintendo TVii?
Nintendo TVii was a TV guide for the Nintendo Wii U that allowed you to see what programs were airing at the time, as well watch movies and TV shows available on streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Instant Video. You could post your thoughts about the programs on the guide, as well as post drawings.
What was Miiverse?
Miiverse was a social networking platform for the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS that allowed you to post in places known as communities. These communities would be directly associated to games. You could post screenshots, send drawings, and give "Yeah!"s to posts you liked. You can also view posts in-game if supported by the game being played.
Is Project Rosé piracy?
No, Project Rosé uses free public APIs and streams no content besides trailers taken from The Movie DB API. Project Rosé also does not revive the streaming apps supported in Nintendo TVii.
Can I beta test this project?
If you're interested in testing our services, join our Discord server for development updates or ask to be a tester! https://discord.gg/EZ2dukdynU
Will the Nintendo TVii revival be 1:1?
Unfortunately, no. Our revival uses all free and public APIs such as TheMovieDB and TV Guide so it will be much more limited than the original Nintendo TVii.
Are you affiliated with Pretendo in any way?
No, Pretendo Network has nothing to do with us.
Will the American Nintendo TVii UI be revived?
We don't know for now. We have tried, but we bit off more than we could chew. As such, we have switched to reviving Japanese Nintendo TVii.
