Nanexus AI is an open-source engineering initiative focused on building practical AI systems that connect modern machine learning with real-world video and edge applications.

Exploring practical ways to combine traditional computer vision with newer AI models:

- hybrid CV + VLM architectures
We are particularly interested in technologies that make intelligent video systems safer and more privacy-aware.
This includes areas such as automated anonymization, local processing, secure deployment, and security analysis of video infrastructure.

Practical Built around real problems rather than technology demonstrations alone.
Deployable Designed with real hardware, real video streams, and real operating environments in mind.
Understandable Architectures and dependencies should remain reasonably transparent.
Local-first where practical Sensitive data should not need to leave the local system unless there is a good reason.
Open Projects are developed in public so that others can inspect, learn from, use, and improve them.
Our first open-source projects are currently under development.
