[1.21.1] Ping does not work correctly with Sponge installed

Description:

I have a small server running SpongeNeo, and I noticed a minor incompatibility between Sponge and CraterLib where the ping packet simply doesn't work and triggers a stack trace.

Note: I originally reported this to Sponge but haven't received a response yet: SpongePowered/Sponge#4287

This is unfortunately a bad side effect of using the sponge* variants.

Their mixins to make things compatible are extremely invasive and cause compatibility issues with other mods.

The only action I can take from my side is to disable that mixin, but I also know this is not the only conflict we have with them. One of the chat related mixins we use also conflict with theirs (I've tried to work around this already, but I think it's still an issue to this day).

I'll leave this open so I can remember to take a look at it with the next update to see if anything else can be done

Thanks for your quick response. Sponge is indeed extremely intrusive and causes numerous conflicts, which is why I contacted them beforehand.

Regarding the chat mixin, I'm not sure if the conflict still exists, the ping issue is the only issue I've encountered between the two (and only as a minor inconvenience, nothing that cause a major issue).
