Display Tunings on staff lines.

Currently the Guitar Tuning is shown on top of the score in a Guitar Pro style block.

When configuring tunings in software like Guitar Pro or similar, you rather set the tuning in a vertical fashion with the tuning right beside the string.

Hence it would be a good kind of displaying the tuning in the tab staff directly. We would show the tuning names in front of the strings.

The exact alignment in combination with track names, brackets etc. has to be checked.

Did some more testing on this and found some partial progress: Goal Replace the track short name (from the Guitar Pro file) with a tuning display per string, for example: E A D G B E This tuning data already exists in the Guitar Pro file. The goal is to display it instead of the track name, not hide the track.

------------------------------ What we already tried (and why it’s off-limits) - CSS overrides via AlphaTab.css and global.css - This breaks unrelated layout: - Song title / artist text becomes vertical or misaligned - BPM display breaks - Notation positioning is affected Because of these side effects, CSS-based solutions are not viable.

------------------------------ What currently works - We successfully replaced the track name text with a tuning display using: - initAlphaTab - TuningOverlay.tsx - synth-player/page.tsx So conceptually, replacing the track name with tuning text is possible and already working.

------------------------------ Remaining issues 1. Line breaks break accidentals We currently rely on \n to force vertical layout per string. This causes accidentals to split incorrectly: Current (broken): C # D b Desired: C# Db So they are on one string line. So the need is: - One vertical line per string - But accidentals must stay attached to the note symbol

------------------------------ 2. Tuning fork icon alignment We also want the tuning fork icon to align cleanly above the tuning text. Current limitation: - We can’t reliably position it using fixed X/Y coordinates - Layout-based alignment is needed, not absolute positioning

------------------------------ What I am NOT asking for - No CSS hacks - No manual DOM injection after render - No guessing or recomputing tuning - No changes to the Guitar Pro data model Summary: Replace the track short name with a vertically displayed tuning (EADGBE) sourced from the Guitar Pro file, keeping accidentals intact per string and allowing a tuning icon to align naturally with the text.
